A custom-made stretched canvas
Espace Ombrage makes custom-made tensioned fabrics in waterproof or openwork qualities. Our stretched sails can take sizes ranging from approximately 1.00 m to 7.50 m per side for your stretched sail installation project.
The surface area of the shade cloths cannot exceed 28m2 per cloth. Our shade sails can be ventilated and therefore resist winds of up to 80km/h or waterproof to protect you from the rain and to be able to eat under the sail in case of showers. In the latter case, it is necessary and imperative to provide a slope of 25% so that the water runs off naturally and avoids the creation of rainwater pockets. A stretched canvas for a unique atmosphere
A tensioned fabric for a modern atmosphere: A tensioned fabric can bring a modern, elegant, design and original atmosphere to your terrace or garden. Stretch fabrics give a completely different aesthetic to pergolas, parasols or awnings. For example, you can intertwine 2 tensioned fabrics, thus optimising the shade and playing with the colour contrast by choosing 2 different shade fabrics.
The choice of colours can also influence the atmosphere you wish to bring to your outdoor environment. The combinations and possibilities are endless, especially as we offer a range of sails with several different colours, for example the Acryl 300 waterproof sail range is available in 25 colours and the Australe 340, the windproof openwork sail, is available in 12 colours.
This means that you can choose neutral colours if you want a clean look. In modern houses, for example, the frames are usually anthracite. So if you want to make a statement, you can opt for shade sails in light and/or dark grey tones.
If you want a multi-sail installation, you can also choose a neutral colour combined with a stronger colour to bring colour to your surroundings. For example, we offer terracotta colours that can bring a warm atmosphere to your terrace, a choice that seems appropriate in the summer months.
If, on the other hand, you want a bohemian chic atmosphere, a white cameo will have the desired effect. Indeed, the superimposition of several shade cloths can bring a natural and cosy atmosphere to your outdoor living space. Combine these shade cloths with brown poles or wooden poles, and the result will not disappoint you!

The Australe 220 and Solar 200 are entry-level sails with a weight of 220g/m2 and 200g/m2 respectively. The Australe 220 is openwork and the Solar 200 is waterproof. As with the ambience, the colour has an impact on the protection of your terrace and living areas. Indeed, a shade sail will provide shade and reduce the temperature in your outdoor and indoor living spaces. However, we can go further and take another parameter into account, the colour. The darker the colour of your shade cloth, the cooler it will feel under the tensioned sail. Indeed, a dark shade sail will reduce the sun's reflection on your terrace and therefore the feeling of heat as well. On the other hand, if you prefer to keep a sufficient level of light in the living areas, we recommend that you choose a light-coloured tensioned sail.
