Natural shade sails

The pleasure of installing 100% natural fiber shade sails on your terrace

Coco fiber shade cloth and jute shade cloth are trendy and highly appreciated for their natural look. Thanks to their totally natural fiber, they can decorate your terrace and create shade. They are available in triangular and rectangular shade sail formats. These sails have no UV protection like our more technical Australe 340 openwork and Acryl 300 waterproof sails, but they do screen and shade your terrace.

Why choose a natural fiber shade sail to shade your terrace?

Using a natural fiber shade to decorate your outdoor terrace has never been so trendy. It will give your terrace a natural look. You can complement these canvases with brown shade sail poles, to continue the theme of natural colors in equipment and accessories.

Good to know:

- Coconut-fiber shade cloth filters light. Its mesh is very airy. It weighs 980g/m2. The fabric doubles in weight when wet. Air and water pass through.

- Jute shade cloth is a denser fabric, requiring a slope to allow water to drain away. It weighs 340g/m2. It creates more shade than coir, thanks to its tighter mesh, but is less resistant to winds (40km/h).

What fasteners should I use for my natural shade cloth?

The natural coco cloth can be stretched between wall attachment points or between wall and adjustable mast. A coconut fiber rope is available to secure the corners of the sail. Ropes and pulleys can be installed at each corner to tension the shade sail. It can also be installed as a pergola sail on a pergola structure.

Natural jute fabric needs to be properly tensioned using standard long tensioning systems. Its taut rendering is closer to that of our technical shade sails. Take the standard long wall attachment if you need to position a hook on the wall. The ropes and pulleys will help you tension the sail.

Take the standard long tensioning systems if you already have rings on the walls. The tension should be in continuity with the median of the triangle or the diagonal of the rectangle.
