Choosing the right triangular shade sail

Triangular shade sails are a beautiful way to shade your patio and add vibrancy and color. Triangular shade sails are wind-resistant thanks to their aerodynamic shape. They look great when tensioned at each corner in line with the medians.

Triangular shade cloths provide less shade than quadrilateral ones. Keep in mind that the edges of the sails are not straight and are curved inward for proper tensioning. Feel free to layer your triangular sails or mix them with trapezoidal ones to create a dynamic effect and ensure maximum sun protection on your patio.

Triangular shade sails are available in several materials: openwork sails to allow air and water to pass through, waterproof sails to provide sun and rain protection. In this case, allow for a slope to drain rainwater.

Finally, triangular shade sails made of natural fiber add an authentic and decorative touch to your patio.

Why opt for a triangular shade sail?

In addition to being wind-resistant, triangular shade sails offer good protection against UV rays.

Triangular shade sails add dynamism and aesthetic appeal to your patio. It is sometimes easier to attach your shade sail at three points. For example, you can attach your sail at two points on the front and attach the tip of the triangle to a shade sail pole.

Be sure to check that your triangular shade sail will provide enough shade. When installing triangular sails, remember to overlap them to ensure sufficient shade. This is because shade sails are curved inward to ensure the fabric is properly tensioned, and the triangular shape often provides less surface area than a rectangular shape.

Installing a triangular sail is also relatively simple, offering a practical and durable solution to beautify and shade your outdoor space.

Consider installing tensioning systems with rope and pulleys at each corner to ensure your fabric is properly tensioned and to increase its longevity.

So, whether you want to decorate and protect your patio for UV-free dining, create a peaceful relaxation area, or simply refresh your leisure space, tensioned patio cloth is an attractive and technical option.

How to properly install your triangular shade sail?

Here are the different steps for installing a triangular shade sail:

- Lay the sail with the seams facing down

- Use string to mark the continuity of the medians for the tension axes (you can trace the median by passing through the corner of the sail and cutting the opposite side in the middle)

- Reserve the tension distances at each corner (minimum 45 cm)

- Secure the attachment points (wall fixings and/or masts)

- Tension the sail using the tensioning systems
